At
that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more
I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once
more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that
have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for
our God is a consuming fire.

The N.E.I.C. (National Earthquake Information
Center) reports that on average, there are about 50 earthquakes in the world
everyday. That’s about 20,000 earthquakes a year.
Architects and engineers agree that to build an
earthquake resistant building you must have 3 things: 1) A strong foundation,
2) the support beams must be driven deep into the foundation, 3) the building
must be able to flex and absorb sudden movements, tremendous pressure, and
intense stress. Unfortunately, almost no one ever builds earthquake proof
buildings because it takes too long to build and costs too much.
How can becoming a Christian be like building an
earthquake proof building? Strong Foundation? Support beams deep in the
foundation? Intense stress and Pressures?
Why do so many people not want to become
Christians? Is it the same reason that they don’t build earthquake proof
buildings?
The cost of follow Christ is
high, but the price of not following him is much higher. When we surrender ourselves to God and
become followers of Christ, he makes us a part of his Unshakable Kingdom.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on
the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat
on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like
a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the
floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and
great was the fall of it.”
Matthew 7:24-27
Receiving an Unshakable Kingdom
is all about believing Jesus is the King of your life and living in obedience
to him. We cannot allow our faith to
only stop at mental ascent. True faith
moves.

If you know Christ, how does
that change your life?
Today, test yourself. Is you’re life founded on obeying
Christ?
Are you driving deep into that
foundation through trust, reading his Word, and Prayer?
Is you’re life so secure in
Christ that no matter what storms come, you will make it because your trust
and obedience is in Him?

that God will create an Unshakable Kingdom in your heart through obedience and trust.
